Taylor is a Managing Director in Goldman Sachs Specialty Lending Group, L.P. (“GSSLG”) and focuses on originating and structuring middle market loans in the payments, software and transaction processing industry. GSSLG provides capital up and down the balance sheet including senior secured debt, “unitranche” credit facilities, mezzanine financings and equity co-investments to small and medium sized businesses. GSSLG is an active investor in the credit card processing industry, with current and past portfolio companies including Applied Merchant Systems, Bluefin Payment Systems, BluePay Processing, Century Payments, Direct Connect, Network Merchants (“NMI”), Pivotal Payments, Priority Payment Systems and TrustCommerce.
Prior to joining GSSLG in 2005, Taylor was a Vice President at Wachovia Capital Partners, the principal investing group of Wachovia Corporation with over $1.5 billion in equity investments under management. Prior to Wachovia Capital Partners, Taylor was an Associate at The Robinson-Humphrey Company, a leading Southeastern focused middle market investment bank.
Taylor earned a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia in 1997 and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
